Children's Homes

A children's home is where a group of children who are looked after live together with the support of residential workers. You have your own room and live as sort of a big family.

Your social worker will work with you and visit you at the children's home to see how you are settling and what the plans are for your future.

The staff at our children's homes do all they can to help children and young people feel secure, safe and cared for.

You can read the guides to our children's homes here. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Participation Worker on 01924 304195.

Benson Lane
The home is for up to seven young people aged between 12 and 17 who can no longer live at home with their families.  Staff will help you to keep in touch with your family.  You may even go back to live with them, or move on to a home of your own.

If you would like to contact us, please ring Sarah on 01924 304195, email participate@wakefield.gov.uk or contact us now via the site
