The Children in Care Council
We meet monthly to make sure that local government and our communities hear our voice and make services that are right for us. We also have activity outings and meet online. Come and Join us!
The CICC Newsletter lets you know what we have been doing in Children in Care Council.
It goes out 6 times a year and is a great way to share and celebrate all the good things that we do!
Send us your pics, quizzes, news and art and they may be included in this website and in our Children in Care Council Newsletter.
CiCC Multi-Sports (11-16 yrs)
A great way to meet other young people with a love for sport. We meet in school holidays.
Join Tom and other staff from Leisure and Sport Services for a fun, action packed two hours of indoor and outdoor sports.
4-5pm After School
Would you like to meet other children in care and do multi-sports activities with Wakefield’s sports and Leisure team?
Full risk assessments will be made available and social distancing adhered to. It’s a great chance to meet new friends and talk about things that matter to children in care.
Ask your carer to contact Rich for more details at email@example.com
CiCC Choir (8-16 yrs)

Councillor Jacquie Speight
"As a corporate parent it is crucial that I and my fellow councillors do everything we can to ensure that the children and young people in the Council’s care are able to lead, safe and fulfilling lives."
