EMOTIONAL WELLBEING TEAM
A video introduction to the team
We work with children and young people in care who are living in Wakefield who need some extra support with their emotions, feelings and behaviour. We work directly with children and young people to find out what their worries and difficulties are and support them to work through this together. We can also work with your carers, social worker and any professionals who work with you, such as school/college, to help them support you in the right way.

I really enjoy listening to loud music and dancing (I like to think I can sing but will not be going on X-Factor anytime soon!). I like going for walks especially on a beach or in woods on a sunny day – I find this makes me feel happy and relaxed. One of my main passions is food – I love eating and really like most foods, except sprouts and mangos!

In my spare time I like going for runs and drawing (though I am not very good at it!). I like listening to music and I find this that this helps me to relax.

I love football, especially Leicester City, and go to as many games as I can which was a lot easier when I lived close by! I love taking my dogs for walks, food (cooking and eating it) and binging Netflix series. To help me de-stress I do kettlebell classes and Pilates and listen to podcasts and really loud music.

I have two cats who are demanding and full of personality! I am originally from Cumbria but see Yorkshire as my home now, I have been here for 9 years. I love to exercise – I believe the mental health benefits are just as important as the physical ones.

Hi I’m Lisa this is my Collie Martha and foster dog Ronnie. I have been in the EWBT for 6 years and some of you may know me, and I have enjoyed getting to know you. In my spare time I enjoy going for walks and training my dogs, I like to grow my own fruit and vegetables and go out photographing wildlife. Anyone who knows me knows I’d much rather go pond dipping than to McDonald’s.
