MEET YOUR ADVOCATE

Caps Header

"Having an advocate has really helped me. They help me when I struggle talking in my CIC reviews. They don't judge me, or how I feel.

Advocates don't tell you what to do like a social worker, and they guide you through stuff."

DO YOU NEED HELP TO SHARE YOUR wishes and FEELINGS?

DO YOU WANT TO TALK TO SOMEONE TO PASS ON YOUR wishes ?

WE CAN HELP!

Hello. We are Advocates; this means we are trained to put young people (you) at the centre of everything we do. You have a right to request support from an advocate whenever you feel you need/want one.

We can help you get ready for meetings and make sure people know what you think about any decisions that are being made and what you think would help. We can support you to attend these meetings or go on your behalf to share your wishes. We will work with you to hopefully allow you to be able to voice your wishes and feelings on your own (this is called self advocacy). We can also help support when you feel something has gone wrong and you may want to make a compliant.

Having social care involved with you or your family can sometimes be confusing -we can help you understand what’s going on and why.

We can help you work out how to tell people how you feel and what you think can make it better.

You can get in touch with us below if you want our SUPPORT.
