Children's Guide to Foster Care
We have recently published a new guide which explains to children and young people exactly what they can expect from foster care. It covers everything from your rights, what to expect in placement, what do if if your worried about something, and who you can speak to about any concerns. We have a booklet for younger children of primary school age, and for older children we have a Welcome to Care Letter, which has been put together by care experienced young people to help you through the first weeks of being looked after.
Telling Health Staff About Care

The Government is planning on having a computer system in place for health staff (doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers etc) that would flag up and tell health staff whether a young person who they might be treating is in care or has a child protection plan. They think this will help keep children safer and we want to find out what you think about this idea.

So the Office of the Children's Right's Director are inviting you to take a short web survey so YOU can vote on the government’s ideas and have your say about them! Click here to fill in the survey & for a chance to receive a £10 voucher!
