Pledge

The pledge plate - our new pledge slogan "driving our children and young people to achieve success"

THE PLEDGE! A NEW VERSION 2014/2015

This is the promise about how we look after you and the pledge applies to all looked after children and young people in Wakefield.

The pledge was written by your Wakefield Children in Care Council in partnership with Corporate Parents. It's for looked after children aged 0 - 21 years.

 Our main message to you:

PROMISE TO INVOLVE YOU IN DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR LIVES

L ISTEN TO YOUR VOICES AND EXPERIENCES

EXPERTS ARE THOSE IN CARE

DIRECTING YOU TOWARDS THE PATH TO A POSITIVE FUTURE

GETTING YOU THE BEST - THAT INCLUDES, FOSTER CARERS, SOCIAL WORKER, PLACEMENTS AND ALL THAT IS OFFERED WHILE IN CARE

ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT YOU AS WE WOULD OUR OWN CHILDREN

You can download the all new pledge leaflet here. What do you think to it? Is Wakefield living up to its promises?

If you have any views on the new look pledge, and any questions about what it says we will do for you, please contact Children in Care Council by
